The Season of Wonder continues with the story of Zechariah from the Gospel of Luke Chapter 1.  Traditionally known as the Benedictus, Zechariah's song of praise challenging us to be open to the silence and song of God's message.  Scott Raley tells the story, starting with the years of silence for Israel before the beginning of the New Testament--and concluding with a song based on that story.   Stay tuned for more of the Season of Wonder . . .

In the first service of the upcoming Advent, George Voigt introduces "A Season of Wonder"--starting with the story in the Gospel of Luke (Chapter 1) of Mary learning that, even though she is a virgin, she will become the mother of the chosen One, a child who will be called Jesus.  Her willingness to accept the surprise is noteworthy, indeed!  Listen to the "knock at the door" from God's plan . . .

Continuing the Prayer as a Second Language Series, Scott Raley highlights the details of a prayer of supplication, as described in the Gospel of John Chapter 15.  This topic is out of order in the ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanks, Supplication) outline in order to match the topic of "Thanks" with next week's Thanksgiving Holiday.

We've started a new series on the topic of Prayer as a Second Language (PSL), and George Voigt gets us started with the topic of "Adoration" of God in our prayers.  In order to help us remember the topics, the acronym "ACTS" is offered, standing for: "A" Adoration; "C" Confession; "T" Thanks and "S" Supplication.  All of these will be explored in the coming weeks.  Stay tuned!
